Elegant frosted glass bowl handcrafted with a delicate fern design. This bowl is handmade fused art glass by mid-century glass artist Edwin Walter, and is signed "WALTER" along the edge. Overall it looks white and grey, but it actually has a lot of pastel colors of pink and green to it when held up to the light. No chips or cracks or scratches.

Edwin Walter (1918-2001) was a master glass artist who perfected his craft in his studio in Troy, Alabama in the 1950s and 1960s. Walter discovered how to fire glass in a pottery kiln in the 1940s. He often infused his work with found metals and experimented with all types of materials in his glass sculptures. He is well known for the interesting fern-like designs of many of his pieces.
