Early 20th C. Japanese Satsuma Hand-Painted Enamel Multicolor Gilded 6.5" Vase
Antique Japanese Satsuma vase in a yellowish earthenware with enamel overglaze featuring a landscape with women, buildings, mountains and lakes in brilliant multi-color shades. Just a lovely and intricately decorated vase with a crackle glaze that is consistent with Satsuma ware of the period. This piece likely dates to the Taisho period (1912-1926).
There are markings on the bottom of this piece but I am unable to connect them with a specific brand or maker.
